What is partnership?

"In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now" Phill 1:4-7

Paul the apostle spoke of the local Philippian Church’s PARTNERSHIP with him in the gospel. Other translations say ‘participation,’ or ‘fellowship.’ The Greek word is KOINONIA and implies a SHARING TOGETHER. A closer inspection of Paul’s letter to the Philippian Church reveals that they partnered with him in his missions ministry through PRAYER, the sending of PERSONNEL, and GIVING.

Partnership means fellowship; brothers and sisters in Christ serving together in unity. It implies a sharing of resources to get a certain job done; in this context it is the task of world evangelisation.

Communication has become easier and faster than ever before, with the advent of the internet. Not only that, but travel has become more accessible than ever before, with many local Churches releasing their Pastors and teams of people to go on short term missions trips. We need to harness these resources for the extension of God's Kingdom!

In the past, mission agencies and Churches have co-existed but for the most part operated independently. We believe that the Lord is moving us into a new era in which Churches and mission agencies partner together to more effectively reach nations for Christ. In the process, the destiny of the local Church is fulfilled in an exciting way.

Not only are we as individuals serving members of local Churches, we also see ourselves as a ministry being servants to you, the local Church; enabling you to have an effective, hands-on ministry in the nations. • To take a key role in supporting a specific Asian Outreach ministry
• The opportunity to send a Church team on a short term trip to the location you are interested in or involved with.
• To develop and send specific teams for a fixed term (up to 3 years)
• For your Pastors and leaders to take a special 2-3 week short term trip to view and be involved with the work
• For your Pastors and leaders to assist in GCI training schools, teaching and ministering to Asian leaders, pastors and evangelists in your country of interest
• To have Asian Outreach speakers in your church and small group meetings
• Assistance in developing missions-focussed prayer meetings and groups
• Opportunity to focus on specific unreached people groups that Asian Outreach is working with.
